Hello and welcome to the CloudRKT blog. Your source for IT war stories from my DevOps perspective. The idea is to fill this blog with articles about infrastructure automation, cloud application design and experiences I had along the way when building IT infrastructures. Here I will write about software and tools I use for my daily work and why I made a choice for the software used in my projects.

Why CloudRKT?

First, the idea of sharing and writing about my interests online was always there. The problem was ( as with so many other things on my list ) that it did not take any real form and just sat there quietly in an abandoned corner of my mind gathering dust.

As with many good ideas, they never got spawned in to existence. Until something happened and hit me in the face, or better yet, in the brain. It was a quote from the book: The War of Art. Not to be mistaken by the Art of War. In fact, the entire book was something that really hit me so check it out when you can.

There's a secret that real writers know that wannabe writers don't, and the secret is this: It's not the writing part that's hard. What's hard is sitting down to write.

I am in no way or form a professional writer or even a writer wannabe, but this blew a hurricane through the dusty part of my mind. I like sharing my IT battle stories by telling as many people as I know. This was something I already did by telling everybody around me.

But I wanted to reach more than just my friends and coworkers, and now I found the right way. It became clear to me, there is no better time than right now and just start writing.

Second, I think CloudRKT sounds kind of hip and cool. And sometimes I'm a sucker for hip and cool.

What's next?

Well, this blog is at time of writing still a bit empty and that obviously needs to change. My goal is to fill the blog with at least two articles every week, and keep iterating on that. Feel free to get in digital touch with me if you have any questions regarding the content, or information you would like to read more about. I will also include some commenting feature, so you can leave messages for me and other users.

I hope to see you browsing around soon.
